The special feature that distinguishes this place of relaxation is the Grotta Giusti, an underground gallery housed in a centuries-old park, defined by Giuseppe Verdi as the eighth wonder of the world. Much loved by the Medici, Monsummano was a favourite place for their hunting parties and the patrician residences we still see today date back to that period. Climbing up here is a must if you want to admire a panorama that embraces the entire valley.
