Originally built as a hunting lodge for the noble Sforza family, one of the most influential dynasties of Renaissance Italy, the villa has over time hosted illustrious personalities such as Maria Beatrice of Bourbon of Austria, the poet Gabriele d'Annunzio and the sculptor Roberto Micheloni, whose verses and memories are still engraved in the marble of the facades.
The structure, restored with great attention to detail and respect for the original architecture, retains valuable historical elements: ceilings with centuries-old beams, hand-carved Apuan cipollino steps, ancient sundials with Latin inscriptions and an outbuilding once used as a stable, still adorned by the original arches.
