Description
A majestic double staircase leads to the main entrance of the villa, known as the Poets' Hall, characterised by refined French stucco decorations and opening onto four themed rooms: the Billiard Room, the Tea Room, the Dining Room and the Games Room. In the centre of the villa is the large ballroom, from which one ascends via a grand marble staircase to the upper floor, where one finds the refined bedrooms, furnished with fine period furniture, together with the library and gallery.
The villa has 13 bedrooms, including several charming suites and spacious bathrooms embellished with elegant marble tiling.
The residence also includes numerous service rooms, a study, a pantry and other rooms distinguished by fine details, such as frescoed ceilings, large windows overlooking the park, original fine wood floors and several working marble fireplaces.
To complete the property, there is a guest annexe of about 200 m² and an elegant orangery on two levels, with a total area of about 500 m², ideal as an accommodation facility.
The property, surrounded by high stone walls that guarantee maximum privacy, enjoys a splendid secular park with the evocative backdrop of the Biella Pre-Alps.
Designed in 1910 by the famous Biella nurseryman De Bois, the park is a landscape masterpiece and includes an Italian garden with box hedges and ancient roses, as well as a rich selection of Mediterranean shrubs and plants. The villa and park frequently host works by internationally renowned artists, including a recent sculpture by renowned local artist Michelangelo Pistoletto.
This villa guarantees privacy and serenity while being only a few kilometres from the city centre and about an hour from the famous Mont Blanc ski area.
Biella is a Piedmontese city located at the foot of the Alps, known for its historical textile tradition and high-quality woollen fabrics produced by internationally renowned companies. Divided into two parts, Biella Piano and Biella Piazzo, the city retains a charming medieval historical centre, with period buildings and palaces such as Palazzo La Marmora and the church of San Sebastiano.
In terms of nature, Biella is surrounded by alpine landscapes that offer opportunities for excursions and outdoor activities. Among the main destinations is the Sanctuary of Oropa, an important site of Marian pilgrimage and UNESCO heritage site, set in a mountainous context of great beauty. Nearby, the Burcina park and small villages add further opportunities for exploration.
